Doris Peters
Doris Ivetta Peters, age 94 of Nakile Home for Special Care and formerly of Pubnico died August 10th, 2022 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in East Pubnico she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Coralee (Blades) Larkin. She is survived by her son, Dale (Margaret), East Pubnico, daughter; Marcia (George) Surette, Lower West Pubnico, grandchildren; Samantha and Joel and great grandchildren Brea and Blake. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Hubert Peters, brothers; Lester and Rupert, sisters; Evelyn, Esther and Pauline. Visitation will be held from 7-8:30 Friday, August 12, 2022 in West Pubnico Funeral Home, Middle West Pubnico. Funeral service will be held at 10am Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church, Central Argyle with Pastor Raymond Pitcher officiating. Interment will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Pubnico. Donations in memory may be made to Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church or to Laurel Hill Cemetery. Doris, also known as Mom, Grammy, Dodo, and in her later years earned the nickname "The Road Runner". She was always on the go, from travelling across Canada with Ken, to going for drives with their friends. You could find Doris at the Argyle-Pubnico Baptist Church every Sunday followed by lunch at the Red Cap. She loved game nights at the Glenwood Hall or playing Ski-boo with friends. She was a homemaker and former post mistress. Doris may have been small, but she had a large heart and loved everyone like her own. She will be missed everyday and years to come.
