Ben was one of the founding members of the Pubnico Area Lions Club. He was a very active member for many years. Ben was very much a "people person", enjoying a conversation with everyone he met. He very much enjoyed being with his friends at the Lion's Club, local restaurants, and coffee shops.                                                                                                                                   Ben worked at many jobs over his career, from driving a bread truck, painting vehicles, working with Aberdeen Paving, and hauling water for Paul's Water Service. Though his favourite job was driving a school bus for over 20 years, where he got to know and remember everyone that rode on his bus.  Ben was a loving father, grand-father, and great grand-father.
