With heavy hearts, we said goodbye to the love of Mom's life, a great husband of almost 55 years, the best Dad ever, and the most awesome Pé-père. As per his wishes, he died peacefully at home with his family last Friday evening, after losing his 3rd battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.  His life was his family and especially his grandkids since they came along. A life long fisherman, first lobster fishing for many years, then herring seining aboard the Lady Janice for his last 17 working years with Ti-Mel, Dad always enjoyed being on the water.  Roger was also a 25 year past member of the West Pubnico Volunteer Fire Department. After retiring from fishing, he still traveled to the wharves, and checked AIS for who was fishing, especially for the boats his son Richard was on.  He always looked forward to the daily yarns he shared with the boys, especially at Roy a 'Spark's', and since retiring, enjoyed spending lots of time with Mederic in his shed.                                                                            Dad was a kind and gentle, loving man with patience galore, and will be remembered fondly by everyone who knew him.

Special thanks go out to the paramedics, the first responders, the various doctors and nurses at Yarmouth Hospital, Dr. Forward and his nurse Danielle in Halifax, to our pharmacists Adam and Angela, and the various VON nurses who have helped Dad through his ordeal. Also very touching were the several visits by Glenn Diggdon, who was very compassionate, helpful and understanding during our difficult time.                                                                                                                      Donations in memory can be made to VON Yarmouth or the Gilles Boudreau Cancer Fund.
