Jill Amirault

1977-2021

Jill Amirault

Jill Diane Amirault, age 44 of West Pubnico, passed away suddenly at home on September 8, 2021.  Born in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, she was a daughter of Grace Helen (Smith) Adams of Barrington Passage and the late William Angus Adams.  Jill worked as a cook.  She is survived by her husband Elroy James Amirault, sons; Taylor (Brianna) and Riley, both at home, daughter Kaitlyn, Yarmouth, sister, Kimm (Tony) d’Entremont, West Pubnico and nephews Jared and Chase. A private visitation will be held for invited guests only from 7-8pm in the West Pubnico Funeral Home, Middle West Pubnico on Sunday, September 12, 2021. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10am in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Pubnico Head with Fr. Cyrille Assihou officiating

Jill could easily be described as larger than life. She loved her husband, children, sister, nephews, brother-in-law and best friends above all else. Whether it was at Karaoke singing her favorite songs, at ‘the Races’ cheering her favorite cars, or back in the day at Richard’s shed, she always had a good time. She was a self-described crazy cat lady with currently 5 at home, although she adored her doggy daughter too. Her car was her sanctuary, and she could often be found driving around aimlessly listening to the tunes her beloved sister always kept up to date, giving one of her boys a ride to where they wanted to go or doing a coffee run with her husband. They might also be found out on his motorcycle on a sunny day with her on the back. She spent her spare time making cross stitch works of art that adorn her walls and the walls of those she loved. More recently she had begun to tie dye shirts for everyone, as it was her favorite look. But more than anything, Jill loved to cook, whether it be at home in her self proclaimed "Bitchen Kitchen" or at work over the years at local eateries. If you had Jill’s cooking, you knew it was good even before it arrived. She will forever be missed as her friend group’s card supervisor. Although she didn’t play, she loved it when they did, and would top up the snacks or help remember whose turn it was to deal or entertain the ones out of the game early.

There will be a celebration of life to be announced at a later date for all to gather, eat, sing, dance and remember together the one of a kind person Jill was. Details will be announced when they are finalized.
