Rita, a devout Catholic and mother.  She was born in the East Pubnico Light House which was always dear to her heart.  As a ten year old, she was a server in the family restaurant, the Lobster Shop with her parents and siblings.  She is fondly remembered as being kind and generous with her time and getting to know the people around her.  Rita was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 66, West Pubnico.  She worked as Dr. Mallett’s receptionist/assistant for numerous years and as care assistant at the Tidal View Manor.  She was the owner of the Creamy Treat.  Mom loved the outdoors, especially gardening.  Her hobbies at which she excelled were needlework, Scrabble and Cribbage.  She knitted and donated hundreds of Teddies for Tragedies.  Mom, we will always love you and keep you in our hearts.
