Born in Lower West Pubnico, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Regina (d’Entremont) d’Entremont.  She is survived by sons Clayton (Darcy), Wendell (Jeannine) and John (Claudette) all of West Pubnico, daughters June (Robert) Montreal, Raye (Pius), Merlyn (Gérard) and Jolene (Andrew) all of Lower West Pubnico. She is survived by a brother Normy (Marcella) d’Entremont, sisters Anne (Blaise) d’Entremont Lower West Pubnico both of Lower West Pubnico, Soeur Lorraine d’Entremont, Moncton and Rosella d’Entremont, Shelburne, 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Joseph d’Eon, a one year old daughter Merlyn, a brother Ronald, and sisters Floretta, Clarisse, Jeannine and Marie in infancy.

Beside raising 8 children and later being the principal care giver for her elderly parents, Mariette was an active member of the family business, d’Eon’s Bakery Ltd., and is remembered for her beautiful wedding and birthday cakes. A devout catholic, she was a long time member of Les Dames de Ste-Anne in her parish and was also a member of the New Horizons.  She had a good sense of style, loved interior decorating and gardening, always kept abreast of the latest fashion, was an avid Frenchy shopper and enjoyed playing Rummoli with her friends.  Tea time with family and friends was always special for her and a wonderful occasion to use her fine china.

Special thanks to the Pont du Marais Boarding Home for their outstanding care and kindness.
