Winnifred Conrad

Conrad, Winnifred "Toots" Rowena, age 88 of Lower Argyle passed in the arms of the Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at home.  She was a daughter of the late Osbourne and Vera (Baker) Goreham.  She was predeceased by her husband James II, daughter Rose, son James III, two grandchildren in infancy, brothers, Garth and Merle.  She is survived by daughters, Sandra, Linda, Ann, Nancy and Mary, 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, sisters, Shirley, Barbara, Carolyn, Sharon, Mary and Rosie and brothers, Bobby, Steven, Osbourne and Frankie.  Toots was the center of her family and rarely a day went by without some of them stopping in for a visit.  She loved to cook and feed a gang. Family and friends alike enjoyed her homemade white bread "Tootsie rolls" and her hand made socks that the kids called "Nanny-Knits".  She volunteered for many years to provide a senior’s supper in the community, always helped with suppers for the Abuptic Festival and in support the local community hall.  Whenever there was a fundraiser, she pitched in to help.  She faithfully attended the Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church.  Visitation will be from 7-9pm Tuesday, June 19, 2018 and a funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, June 20, 2018 all taking place in the Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church with Pastor Mitchell Deware officiating.

At Toot’s request there will be no reception.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Lower Argyle Harbourview Cemetery or a charity of choice.  On line condolences may be forwarded to the family at westpubnicofh.com.
