Jane d'Entremont

Jeanne Celina d’Entremont, affectionately known as "Jane" age 83 of Villa St. Joseph du Lac, Dayton, and formerly of Lower West Pubnico, died March 18, 2018 in the Villa.  Born in Lower West Pubnico, she was a daughter of the late William Austin and Mary Odile (Brown) Surette.  Jane worked at the family fish plant for many years and was a homemaker. She is survived by sons; Kevin (Peggy) of Central Argyle, Edgar (Yvette) of Lower West Pubnico and Kenny (Gail) of Wedgeport, sisters; Freda d’Entremont of Lower West Pubnico and Doris d’Entremont of Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle, grandchildren; Jodie, Kellie, François, Normand, Stephanie, great grandchildren; Sophie, Brea, Lane and Owen.  She was predeceased by her husband Norbert Pierre d’Entremont, a son Ethren and a granddaughter Tracie, her angels in Heaven, brothers; Arthur, Harvey, Richard, Howard, Joseph, John Joe, Wilbert, Walter and a sister Ada.  Visitation will be held in the West Pubnico Funeral Home, Middle West Pubnico on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 4-9pm and Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 9-10:30am.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 11am from St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Middle West Pubnico with Fr. Albéni d’Entremont officiating.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.  Donations in memory may be made to Villa St. Joseph du Lac, St. Peter’s Church or to a charity of choice.  On line condolences may be forwarded to the family at westpubnicofh.com.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the West Pubnico Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middle West Pubnico.  902 762-3407

Mam was a loving, generous, selfless wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was everyone’s "Tante Jane.  Her home was always open to family, neighbours, friends and visitors alike, and regardless of her means, she always had an extra plate for anyone who dropped by.  She was an active community and faithful church member, volunteering countless hours, and living her life through faith, love and compassion.
